Corporate Relations

Corporate Relations is responsible for corporate communications, marketing and student recruitment both UK and overseas.

Corporate Relations consists of the following key areas:

Admissions Office

The Admissions Office has responsibility for both undergraduate and postgraduate admissions. The team communicates with applicants and works closely with Admissions Tutors, offering advice on the application process and entry requirements.

Creative Media

Our in-house service provider offers combined design, editorial, print, distribution and media services to all university departments. This includes the Media Centre, a specialist TV and radio studio, that produces broadcast media and offers training opportunities. The University has a unique relationship with both the BBC and Sky News as they both have broadcasting bases at the University.

International Relations

The international strategy is supported by the International Relations team, by embedding an international perspective in the teaching and wider business of the University. The team is responsible for recruiting international students and building relationships with overseas business, ministries and embassies.

Marketing and Communications

The Marketing and Communications team’s focus is on media relations, marketing, event management, market research and analysis, online communications and internal communications.

Student Recruitment and Outreach

Student Recruitment and Outreach are responsible for recruiting undergraduate and postgraduate students from the UK and Europe. The team organises the University open days and attends higher education fairs to promote the University.

The Outreach office operates the Access to Birmingham Scheme to raise the aspirations of under-represented groups and individuals, and support them in their aim to become university students.
